There are many people in the world who love the toy Chihuahua not only for its diminutive size but also for their very sweet temperament. This dog is the smallest of all the dog breeds known to man and also the oldest. Its origins can be traced to a place in Mexico after which it is named. The Aztec bred this dog for their royalty in ancient times. However, at that time the Chihuahua was slightly larger than what it is today.

By description, everything about this dog is cute and endearing. It has a tiny apple shaped head, eyes that seem too large for their head and sharp, pointed upright ears. Its eyes are slightly bulging and the muzzle is tiny and sharp. Do not be taken in by its looks though –the toy Chihuahua might look extremely fragile, but this dog is muscular and quite strong for its size
The attractiveness does not stop with its looks. The toy Chihuahua makes a wonderful pet as well. They get exceptionally attached to their owners and their behavior is more or less like that of a child. This is why this breed is a hot favorite for senior people all over the world.

You will find that in spite of its diminutive size the toy Chihuahua can be a good guard dog as it can bark furiously whenever it feels that anything can intrude into their world. Generally the Chi as it is fondly called all over the world, is a fun loving dog that is both comical and entertaining.

These dogs love pampering and you will often find them curling under your blanket in the bed or in your favorite armchair. When you have a Chihuahua you need to be very careful where you sit as these dogs can be killed if you sit or step on them by mistake.
When you choose a toy Chihuahua as your pet you get a lot more than that. You get endless entertainment, as these dogs are extremely comical in their behavior; you get a faithful companion who will never leave your side as long as they live. You get an excellent guard dog that will keep you alerted about any possible intrusion in your home. And lastly you get an animal that will love you unconditionally and demand nothing less than that from you.

You need to be careful not to spoil these dogs as they behave just like small children in their demand for attention and your love. They love luxuries and your company; therefore you will find them more often sleeping in your bed than in theirs. Training needs to be imparted very early, as these dogs can be very strong-headed when they grow into adults. This is one of the reasons why most owners find it extremely difficult to housebreak the toy Chihuahua.

The Chihuahua types of dogs are excellent for you if you like living indoors and prefer to curl up with a book and bowl of popcorn instead of taking a walk outside. If you are planning to acquire a toy Chihuahua and need to have more Chihuahua information, this article could be just what you are looking for.

Loving owners of dogs and other animals care deeply about the well-being of their pet. This is why news of a dog food scare is such a source of constant worry. Dog owners try to give their pets the best food on the market but when it comes to future dog food scares, it is impossible to know what brand will be struck next. A dog food scare calls for recalls on the products but this is no use to those that have already fed the food to their beloved dog. They all want to know what caused the dog food scare and what damage could be done. A dog becoming sick is upsetting to their Dog Owner’s as well as being costly due to vet bills but the worst part is the thought that it could have been prevented by the manufacturers.

Dog food scares leave owners worried over a longer period of time as they ponder upon the ingredients of their pets favorite meals and wonder just how nutritionally valuable they are anyway. Cases like this often lead to owners striving to create their own pet food to avoid Dog Injury. At least this way the responsibility is entirely in their own hands and with enough research they can source the best foods to provide an all round healthy diet for their pet dog.

Kicking off a Dog Food Scare

As dog food scares seem to become more frequent, many of us wonder what causes a dog food scare. What has to happen in order for pet food to be recalled? In most cases it is because there is a possibility that the pet food has become contaminated in some way due to a poison or toxic chemical seeping into the food or being added by mistake. There are even cases of disgruntled employees causing the problem in order for their employers to get bad press and possible law suits against them. Unfortunately it may just be a problem with the equipment, there are sometimes no way of knowing just what caused the problem and this is the scariest of all.

It is hard to imagine but most of these situations cannot be prevented and none of us including the pet food manufacturers can tell what is going to happen in the future. A random occurrence of dog health problems can just happen. The best thing that the manufacturers can do is provide clean and fully maintained working environments and in the case of a possible dog food scare, to inform the public and recall the potentially contaminated food as early as they can.
