Being a doula is a labor of love for me. Because I am employed in the child welfare arena, I offer you my services as professional volunteer.

I am confident about helping you toward a healthy birth that you will remember with gladness and joy. That is why in lieu of service payment, I encourage all my clients to make a donation to an organization committed ensuring that all women have access to culturally appropriate doula care regardless of ability to pay -- Seattle Midwifery School and the Community-based Doula Program. Click here for information about Seattle Midwifery School. For information about the Community-based Doula Program in which Seattle Midwifery School is a key development and educational partner, click here.

No donation is too small, every dollar counts. I hope the following information helps you make a decision you feel good about. But please know that I am here for YOU and YOUR BABY and I will never ask you whether you have decided to make a donation:

  • $50 provides gas for a doula to visit her client at home and at her client's birth setting
  • $100 covers the cost of providing useful prenatal, birth, and postpartum educational materials to clients
  • $300 covers the cost of the supplies a doula carries in her bag to a birth: rebozo, massage tools, books, lotions for massage, Tens Unit and more
  • $600 covers the cost of an entry-level labor support course for an aspiring doula in the Community-based Doula Program

Thank you for your donation.

I ask that clients cover costs of my parking during a hospital birth. If, for reasons of crisis, I am unable attend a birth, I will pay the fees of my doula business partner Jennifer Head (Jenniferhead.net). Support toward those fees are greatly appreciated.
